"Don't rush to make Money from Blogging"_ Oluwaseun Bamidele, Manager, Oasis Media

Check Out Oasis Connect

*     Can we meet you?

I am Oluwaseun Bamidele, a B.A Holder in Mass Communication from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo state. I am a Writer, Blogger, Journalist, Internet Marketer, Speaker and a Music Lover. I also am the Manager of Oasis Media, a media firm that incorporates www.oasisconnect.com.ng and Oasis TV.

*     For you, is Blogging something you just know how to do naturally or you learnt and developed it?

(Smile) Actually, blogging is something I have always had passion right from my undergraduate days. The vision came in 2015 during my SIWES days to own and run a blog, not just a blog but one that would as well generate funds. I learnt 20% of blogging and I taught myself the rest 80% through commitment. It is not something that can be learnt and known in a day, blogging is a wide concept and it takes time to understand the indepth part of it. Till today, I am still learning.

*     How did you start as a blogger?

I started blogging in 2013, but lack of indepth knowledge back then made me opt out. However, I picked it up again in April 2016, ran it for two months, the website crashed. I took it up again and since then we have become deeply rooted.

*     What is blogging all about?

Blogging can be seen as a form of social networking service. Indeed, bloggers do not only produce content to post on their blogs, but also often build social relations with their readers and other bloggers.  Blogging is a business and those involved are called business owners. Blogging is the many skills that one needs to run and control a blog. Equipping web page with tools to make the process of writing, posting, linking, and sharing content easier on the internet.
Blogging is an act of your expressing your thoughts and voice through writing or through the use of podcast. Any successful blogger to be must however see commitment, patience and diligence as the steps to being successful as a blogger.

*     We have heard about Oasis Tv and Oasis Media with you as the Manager also, how are these connected to Oasis Connect, are they subsidiaries or ...?

This is a question that I have answered countless times from media personalities.
Oasis media is the mother body to oasis connect and oasis TV.  It is like saying Punch Newspaper firm and www.punhng.com
Oasis media was founded on December 20, 2013 while oasis connect came up in 2016 as a subsidiary to generate more fund for the media group and to more social media audience. The social media has been seen as a very important pillar for any organization, hence the need to establish oasis connect came up and we've been able to use the platform to train over 30 persons. Oasis TV on the other hand is an online mobile television that is still under construction, of which the major challenge we have is funding. It is another platform that has to do with vlog, photography, red carpet and event coverage and many more. However, we have a properly analysed constitution that explains the roles of the arms.

*     As a Manager, What would you expect from your members now and in the nearest future?

As the Manager of Oasis Media,  of which there's a board of editors that make decisions on every activity in the media group, what myself and the board expect from the members is diligence and commitment. No man or organization can become great without selfless diligence. We are where we are today because of God and the efforts of past members of the organization.

*     What else do you do apart from blogging?

Apart from blogging, I write articles, stories, I give talks and speeches (both motivational and educational), I design blogs, I do graphics, I promote songs,  businesses (basically Internet marketing).

*     What perception about blogging do want to change in this modern day society that we live in?

The perception I wish to change in this modern world is the one that says "bloggers are liars and rumor mongers".  Truth be told, we have some bloggers that just dived into the job without proper orientation, hence they spoil the image of the job. Nevertheless,  bloggers are image promoters, society developers and information disseminator.

*     What is your advice for fellow bloggers?

My advice for fellow bloggers is this:
Don't rush!  Be patient. Don't rush to make money from blogging. Blogging requires passion and commitment. If you want to walk miles in the blogging business, then be selfless in your services. Till now, I'm still learning and putting in more effort.

*     And yes, it is of public knowledge that you design blogs for "would be bloggers", how easy and profitable is that and can you mention some existing blogs you have designed?

Yes, like I said earlier, blogging alone won't take you anywhere, you need to add more basic skills to the one you have already. I build, design and fix domain for "would be bloggers". From 2017 till date, I have designed about 50 different blogs, of which many of them are still in existence. It is easy and profitable but I minimise my profit to suit the pocket of my clients.
Some sites I have built include:
Dammyoluboyo.com
Empiremedia.com.ng
Trendingist.com
Palitomedia.com.ng
Oasisconnect.com.ng
Streetlyte.com.ng
Mpirenetworks.org.ng
aaualss.com.ng
Bseunwrites.com.ng
Kingdomspot.com.ng
Olagists.com.ng
Selfmadeajebutter.com
Realwithkb.com.ng
Succeednetwork.org.ng
Talk2ebijanded.com
Transforminghearts.com

And a host of many others.

*     Where do you see yourself in the next five to ten years?

In the next 5-10, years, I see myself running oasis media as one of the leading media firms across countries. It's a dream, we are working towards it and we will surely get there by God's grace.

I’m Adebusuyi Adedotun O. I am a graduate of the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State. I am majorly a trained Photographer but school life made me venture into Graphic Designing which won me an Award as the Graphic Artist of the year at my department.

*     For you, is Graphic Designing an hobby or a passion?

Well, it was born out of my love for photography, later it became my hobby. I really enjoy it when designing with my software.

*     Have you coined a name for your "Graphic Design" Brand? If yes, what is the name of your brand and the meaning of the name?

Yes! But unlike other Brands, I picked my Brand name (ADEFEM) from my name.

*     What is "Graphic Design" all about and how did you start as a Graphic Designer?

Hmm! Graphic Designing is basically an “ART!” that is put to reality through the aid of some system applications.  I had my training in photography in the year 2013 but I went into Graphic Design in late 2014/early 2015.

*     What else do you do apart from Graphic Designing?

Apart from Graphic Designing, I am into various things ranging from Shoe making, Fashion Designing, Instrumentation, PR and many more…

*     What perception about Graphic Design do you want to change in this modern day society that we live in?

Everyone sees Graphic Designing as a very easy job and because of this, they offer Graphic Designers especially the upcoming ones peanut as payment for service which should not be so. I would like people to start taking US (Graphic Designers) serious and give us the respect we deserve.

*     What is your advice for fellow Graphic Designers?

They should build their brand identity and maintain their standard in the business world.

8. Where do you see yourself in the next five to ten years?

I see myself as a leader in the Industry (Not Graphic Industry though) and also supporting young designers.

My advice to Pro MUAs (Professional Make up Artists) is to keep doing their thing in their own unique way, making new waves. "Most songs these days have good beats but no good lyrics"_ Judesongz aka Omoolorin, Music Artiste

Music1: Download "Busayo" by Judesongz aka Omoolorin

Music2: Download "Rara" by Judesongz aka Omoolorin

Finally This is the voting link to vote JUDESONGZ..for the ACHIEVEMENT IN VOCALS category.. Kindly help vote and share/rbc.. You can vote once everyday..thanks for the love.🙏🏻

*     Can we meet you?

I'm Olujobi Aderemi Faith. I am a final year student of Adekunle ajasin university Akungba akoko. My stage name is JUDESONGZ aka Omoolorin. I do RnB blended with Fuji, so i call it Afro n B.

*     For you, is Music inbuilt or something you developed?

Music is inbuilt for me and I also developed it myself. Music has been in my Family even before I was born.

*     How and When did you start as a Music Artiste?

I started Music at a tender age, since when I was 6. I was in a children gospel band then, and we do go to different churches to sing. But I did my First official track (MOFE) featuring WillyWillz in 2014.

*     As a Music Artiste that is just coming up,how has it been so far and do you just sing during your leisure hours for pleasure or you intend becoming a full-time Musician now or in the nearest future?

It hasn't been easy, I must confess. Getting people to listen to my songs, getting shows, promotion, has not been easy for me. But I am thankful and happy that I am following my dreams and what I have passion for. I'm a full-time Artiste/Singer.

*     What else do you do apart from Music?

I'm currently studying History and International Studies. So, let's just say "I'm a diplomat in making". So, it is just school and music.

*     What perception about music generally do you want to change in this modern day society that we live in? And what innovations are you planning to bring into the Music industry?

Music this days has been something entirely different from the past. I could remember I do score songs then, most of p square, 2baba, Brymo songs etc, I know almost everything off-head, but now I can't even try to score some songs, because half of the lyrics are gibberish. And most songs this days just have good beats but no good lyrics, no great compositions.
One of the things my fans know me for is my lyrical content. And I never intend to stop doing songs with great lyrics and melody. I am doing a different style of music, so my aspiration is to see my style of music accepted nationwide.

*     What are the challenges you face as an upcoming Music Artiste that you think other upcoming artists might also be facing? And what is your advice for fellow upcoming Music Artists?

There is a major challenge I am facing and that is money, which is also what other upcoming artiste are facing. If there is money, you can easily fund your music without waiting for any record label and you can easily buy your way to stardom. My advice is just to be prayerful and work hard.

*     What Genre of Music do you sing? And how many singles and collaborations have you been able to pull through so far, that is, recorded,produced,promoted...

Like I said, I do Afro n B..combination of Afro, Rnb and fuji. I have Four Singles currently, and Eight Collaborations.

*     Where do you see yourself in the next five to ten years?

In the next ten years, I am sure my name will be on everybody's lips, and songs on everybody's playlist.

*     How does anyone who would like to listen to your songs download them (Although the download links for your songs are available above for download on this interview page); Then how would someone who wants to invite you for a show contact you? What are your Social Media handles like your Facebook page and Instagram ID, Twitter Handle?

"Most Record Labels don't really know what it takes to operate as one..."_ Munosings, Music Artiste

 Music1: Muno_I Dey Hail

 Music2: Muno_Never Regret...mp3

 Music2 Video: Muno_Never Regret Video

*     can we meet you?

My names are Oriero Oviemuno popularly know as Muno. I am from Delta state Isoko. The 1st of four children. I studied Building Technology in Covenant University.

*     Wow, Building technology is so different from music, so, for you, is Music inbuilt or something you developed?

Inbuilt. It keeps chasing me

*     How and When did you start as a Music Artiste?

Music has always been inbuilt but I started professionally in 2010.

*     Ok, as a Music Artiste, how has it been so far and do you just sing during your leisure hours for pleasure or you are a full-time Musician?

Well as a music artiste, it has been interesting going through the different stages of my career and yes I am a full-time musician.

*     So cool_what else do you do apart from music?

Well, I haven't practiced since I left school... music has always been of number one priority...If we are talking other set skills well, I also play football aaaaaand I am still a music producer so see? I still end up in music someway somehow.

*     Yea,,obviously music all the way😁,If there is any at all, what perception about music generally do you want to change in this modern day society that we live in? And what innovations are you planning to bring into the Music industry?

Well, the major perception I would have loved to change has already been taken care of and it is "the idea that music is for touts and irresponsible individuals". It is really a lucrative profession if nurtured properly with the right incentives and the success stories of artists like Wizkid, Davido, Tekno and the likes just to mention a few has proved me right to that effect.
Most important innovation to do as a musician is to effect the change to reflect in my own career and craft.

*     Well said but if I may ask, what are the challenges you face as a Music Artiste that you think other artistes might also be facing? And what is your advice for fellow Music Artistes?

Well, I come from the street and I hustled and is still striving to make an impact in the music industry my own way and I think that is the major problem we face as musicians which is as a result of the high capital intensive nature that the industry has become... it is totally unfavourable for the young and upcoming out there whereby competence is judged by how much you can fuel your career with and no longer true and raw talent.
Most Record labels don't really know what it takes to operate as one but of course there is good room for improvement.

*     Hmmmn, sure, a large room for improvement...Lest I forget, what Genre of Music do you do? And how many singles and collaborations have you been able to pull through so far, that is, recorded,produced,promoted...

I do RnB with a fusion of our Afropop sound. So far from 2012 till now, I have had about 10 to 14 official singles out there. I don't know if you heard any lil Wayne "how to love" cover I did back in 2012. That really saturated and gave birth to a lot of opportunities for me.
Major collaborations like with vector on his "state of surprise" album with rudeboy of psquare.

*     So, do you want to hint us about anything you are working on? What should we be expecting next; a rocket or a bomb😁?

Lol both...Well, I am looking at dropping an EP of about 5 songs for you guys. The wait is long overdue and I want to flood the industry with nothing less than good music. You can also expect a collaboration with phyno.

*     Are under any record label yet?

No, not yet...Not now. Since the resolving of "rudeboyrecordz", I have been taking it one step at a time.

*     By the grace of God, let me add that first, Where do you see yourself in the next five to ten years?

An influential music icon world wide.

*     Wow a great one💯✅. How does anyone who would like to listen to your songs download them (Although the download links for some of your songs and video are also available for download on this interview page); Then how would someone who wants to invite you for a show contact you? What are your Social Media handles like your Facebook page and Instagram ID, Twitter Handle?

Well some of my songs are on itunes and other Nigerian sites like notjustok.com, 2exclusive. I also have a new "fan-link" you can access on my Bio area on Instagram. Sometimes, simple Google can do the trick lol...

*     Lolz, so on instagram and twitter, @munosings?

Yes, @munosings on Instagram and Twitter. Munosings Oriero on Facebook. Munosingsmusic@gmail.com then Phone Number is +234706 584 5298.

"Don't join others to blow, you might find yourself helpless after explosion"_Olofintuyi Abiodun aka Ecclesiastes, Gospel Artiste

Music: Download "AAUA Challenge" by Ecclesiastes x Emmelex x Samrhymes

*     Can we meet you?

I am Olofintuyi Abiodun Ayobami, musically known as Ecclesiastes. I do gospel music most especially rap. Sometimes, I sing circular depending on the motivation and inspiration. I am an amazing graduate of AAUA from the department mass communication.

*     For you, is Music inbuilt or something you developed?

Well, music has been in me for a long time of which I later discovered when I met with friends who share the same dreams and talents with me.

*     How and When did you start as a Music Artist?

I started music when I was in secondary school. That was where I met rappers and vocalists who really inspired me and discovered me.

*     As a Music Artist that is just coming up,how has it been so far and do you just sing during your leisure hours for pleasure or you intend becoming a full-time Musician now or in the nearest future?

I do both but the most important of all is the passion. Music is not a career for me but life. It is what I do everyday and I will do it till eternity even if I am not paid for it. So, I am not moved by money. Since I found out that it's something I can but do. Music is sweet.

*     What else do you do apart from Music?

Apart from music, I shoot musical Videos, Movies, Skits and I edit them myself.

*     What perception about music generally do you want to change in this modern day society that we live in? And what innovations are you planning to bring into the Music industry?

I don't just sing, I compose based on the inspiration I get. In my world of music, I won't sing because I want people to hear and buy it but because I want them to be impacted and have a cause to change for a better living. My music will surely focus on correcting social, spiritual and mental ills.

*     What are the challenges you face as an upcoming Music Artist that you think other upcoming artists might also be facing? And what is your advice for fellow upcoming Music Artists?

The number one challenge is finance, sometimes, you are inspired to write a song but then, you find it hard to produce it. It's always painful. You waste all of the inspiration in the bathroom.
The number two challenge is that people don't want to listen to songs that impact but songs they can dance to in parties. Friends told me to switch to other genres but I said no because I am for the gospel, I am for the truth.
Advise to upcoming stars, don't be discouraged by what you see now. As long there is a mission, there is need for it to be accomplished. Be yourself and don't join others to blow because you might see yourself helpless after the explosion🕶

*     What Genre of Music do you sing? And how many singles and collaborations have you been able to pull through so far, that is, recorded,produced,promoted...

Although I have composed circular songs but my gospel songs are more. I have produced two songs. One is a circular song while the other is a gospel one, I did it with my music group known as "Team Danabell".
Then, "AAUA challenge" and "One life". I am working on a track "Grateful". It will be out soon and that will be my first single because the previous ones are mix tapes.

*     Where do you see yourself in the next five to ten years?

I would say, in the next 3 years, I see myself as a world star in the Music Industry. God showed me that_So anticipate...

*     How does anyone who would like to listen to your songs download them (Although the download links for your songs will also be available for download on this interview page); Then how would someone who wants to invite you for a show contact you? What are your Social Media handles like your Facebook page and Instagram ID, Twitter Handle.

I believe only upcoming artistes face problems and it always has to do with how to make yourself known to the world . Upcoming Artistes have nice songs but promoting it is a problem. My advice for every upcoming artiste is never to stop believing in yourself and perseverance is another key to making it, don't stop!!
