LETTER TO MY BELOVED

Dear Beloved,

In no way am I cheap;
But I bet I will always say yes if I meet you every first day of my life.

I thought were a “come & go” and I treated you like one;
Until you showed me you have come to stay.

“Why would I want to date someone so broke?” I asked myself;
Yet your “brokenness” has a sweet vision which is your number one charm.

Although they underestimate you but I overestimate you;
Because I see greatness in your potentials.

Not only can your jealousy be a pain in the neck;
But the truth is, “who has ever treated me this special?”

Even when I break-up with you thousands of time;
You still make-up with me millions of times.

And even if I am the most imperfect being that makes so much mistakes;
You call me “awesome”.

Despite the mockery;
Each passing day with you is a blissful heaven.

What else can one ask for?
You are the best of the bests.

Wherever you are reading this, always know these things;
I trust you, I believe in your dreams and I love you, I really do.

Why This Family?

Overtime, I have met people who are totally not pleased with the kind of families they find themselves and as a result end up living fake lives. This mostly is because of the monetary issues and the poor financial status of their families compared to that of their friends.
Some would even go as far as saying, “I wonder what my parents were doing when their mates were going to school.” The truth is, as youths of this “computer age”, we want to have access to everything our friends have access to at all cost which can not and would not always be possible.
No matter your background, it is always good to know that you can always make it if you so wish to work hard no matter the status of your family. Who knows whether you were destined to make that family great and that was why you were born into such family in the first place?
Now is not the time to brood over “if wishes were horses” or what your parents didn’t do right because even if wishes become horses of a truth, and the hands of time were reversed, you would only continue to wish and wish because “even if all animals are equal, some are more equal than the other “(Animal Farm; George Orwell). This means that, you would surely still have friends with families who are richer than your family no matter how rich your wishes had made yours become.
Therefore, now is the time to work hard and stop saying “Why this Family?”
